Travel Authorisation Certificate

Do visitors need to receive authorisation to be able to travel to the BVI?

Yes. All persons entering the British Virgin Islands after 1 December are required to obtain a BVI Gateway Travel Authorisation Certificate. This applies to travellers entering by air or by sea.

Get Tested

Am I required to get tested before travelling to the BVI, even if I am coming from a low-risk country?

All passengers, regardless of place of origin, are required to obtain a negative PCR test from a certified laboratory within 5 days of your arrival.

Book Approved Accommodation

Where may I stay when I visit BVI?

Visitors may stay at any Gold Seal or pre-approved accommodations. This may be a hotel, resort, villa, marine vessel or private residence.

At the Airport

What can I expect upon arrival in BVI?

Upon arrival at the airport you will undergo health screening and PCR testing, be assigned your monitoring technology, as well as go through the standard Immigration and Customs procedures.

Leaving the Airport

What happens after I get tested at the airport?

After proceeding through Immigrations and Customs, you will travel to your pre-confirmed and pre-approved quarantine accommodation using assigned Government approved transportation.

Protocols while in the BVI

Am I required to wear a mask at the airport?

Yes, you are required to wear a mask throughout your processes at the BVI airport whether for arrival or departure.

OTHER QUESTIONS

May I do a one day trip to USVI? Or anywhere else?

Yes, but you will need a negative PCR test result from five days prior to your arrival back in BVI to re-enter BVI. Your will have to register to receive a BVI Travel Certificate for re-entry. Additionally, you will be subject to PCR testing on arrival, four complete days of quarantine and a PCR test on Day 4 to exit quarantine.
